Flooring is one of the most flexible, and amusing feature of modular home interior design. For example, snap-together wood floors are uncomplicated to mount, with hardly any basic tools to slash floorboards to length and cut them around corners.
Even better, carpet tiles from FLOR are presented in different colors and a wide range of textures and patterns, allowing you to breed a custom wall to wall carpeting, area rugs, or runners, without the call for an interior design expert or installer.
The inclination en route for modular living holds the liberty and suppleness of our modern lifestyles, and is contagious with home owners and apartment dwellers of the entire ages.
Fuzzy Button. Each rug is one individual circle. Three color ways, one size (approximately 39.5″ diameter) - join multiple rugs for bigger rugs.

Souk Chic. A very modern take on the nearly thousand-year-old practice of knotting together still-vibrant sections of otherwise worn Turkish and Persian rugs to form a new, patchwork of color and pattern (early recycling!)

Green Acres. Summer fun in a box, put down a number of Green Acres for your next patio party — pick it up and put it down for the party on the roof. It is the perfect solution for city dwellers suffering from lawn deprivation. Green Acres is apt for covered outdoor use.

The use of Oriental or Persian carpets is one of the best kept secrets on decorating the “Mexican Style”These carpets date back to the fifth century B.C. in ancient Persia it was specially made for a Scythian Prince by the name of Pazyryk. There are three main types of carpets, the Farsh or ‘Q?lii’ which is a carpet 6×4 feet or larger, the Q?licheh which are rugs 6×4 feet or smaller, and nomadic carpets known as Kilim or Zilu, meaning rough carpet.

Most carpets are hand woven and can take over a year to complete. These rugs are hard to find and are usually sold at upscale galleries and auction houses for outrageous prices.
Floral designs and patterns and intricate wines are woven into the fabric of Herat rugs. The colors they are crafted with are charming Persian carpets are all woven by hand using the same single knot technique. Nomadic tribes in Iran are the weavers of Baluch rugs. These rugs are created using rich colors such as red, ivory, and navy blue, and have been in creation for over 2500 years.
It is very easy to tell carpets that are hand woven from those that are made by machine. One look at the back will tell you the whole story. It takes many, many hours to make one of these beautiful Oriental carpets.

Founded by designer and entrepreneur James Tufenkian, their mission is to create exquisite things from Tibetan and Armenian hand-knotted carpets. The Tufenkian brand has become the standard for the finest in contemporary design, craftsmanship and raw materials while using a unique business model to dramatically improve the lives of those in need.

Tufenkian Carpet
Tufenkian created and defined the category of Tibetan carpets while revolutionizing the handmade carpet industry itself. In 1993, Tufenkian revitalized Armenia’s dormant carpet weaving craft, restoring a centuries-old tradition to a recovering nation.
I am personally amazed by how their Tibetan carpets were produced. They created the lustrous, resilient, lanolin-rich wool that is considered the finest in the world for rug production from Tibetan sheep raised by nomads in the Himalayan Mountains, which range from 12,000 to 20,000 feet above seal level. Truly it was handmade even in removing its impurities. Tufenkian wools are never bleached but it has been gently washed in local rivers to be able to preserve the natural lanolin, personality and character of its fibers. Then it is being dried naturally from sunlight and sorted according to its color variations. Using a metal-bristled brush and simple, foot-powered wooden wheels, the fibers of the wool are roughly aligned in preparation for hand spinning and spun into yarn. This process creates many of the beautiful imperfections found in Tufenkian carpets.
Tufenkian Carpets is one of the world’s leading designers and makers of hand woven Tibetan and Armenian carpets. All Tufenkian Showrooms offer a full collection of hand-knotted carpets woven from 100% virgin Tibetan and Armenian wool, as well as silk, in a variety of knot constructions in contemporary, transitional and traditional designs.
